I spoke a bit too soon in my last post. By Sunday, 3/16, I was pretty much over the bronchitis. Sadly, the next day my back went twinge on me and by Tuesday morniong, I was in spasms so severe I though I was going to fall down when I tried to walk. Thankfully, I'm able to work from home with this job, so I did on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Thanks to the R.C.'s long experience with the same back problem, I started in with the precisely correct treatment Tuesday afternoon and by Friday I was able to work most of the day. I went shopping yesterday, am sitting up at the computer today (although not for long--I still want to be very careful), and plan to work full days again, starting tomorrow. I'm almost pain-free, with no more medication over the last five days than a few Advil.

So far, aside from having provided me with the treasure of full-time employment, I can't say that 2008 is gifting me with much joy, but maybe this will be the last of the misadventures.
