Criminy. I hate getting sick, and I hate it when a simple (!) head cold turns into bronchitis.
After fighting the Beastly Illness for 10 days on my own, I visited my Health Professional and acquired two prescriptions. One for an inhaler, which I filled Friday afternoon. And one for an antibiotic that, per instructions, I filled on Monday when the inhaler was clearly not going to do the job.
Today is a milestone day. This morning, I walked from my car into the building, climbed the stairs to the second floor, and walked around the office to the back where my cubicle is. And I did not need to sit down and rest for a couple of minutes when I arrived at my desk.
Anyhow. That's mostly why I haven't been blogging. It's been taking all my energy to get through the work day. In the evenings, I mostly rest and gather strength for the next day.
Sigh. There was much I could have blogged. I could have blogged Saturday, when it was 74 gorgeous degrees here and the R.C. and I celebrated the spring-like weather with a massive Shopping Amnesty Day that cost me a significant percentage of my first paycheck. Or Sunday, when it snowed and I spent part of the day messing around in the kitchen, trying a new recipe. Or any of my days at work, where the high point of the day has been the moment when I see someone by the coffee pot and they speak to me. I could have talked about the job itself, which I enjoy a great deal. Or I could have talked about how Bernie has been calling again, wanting me to work for him again because She isn't up to the job.
But, no, I had to get sick and listless.
In other news, I leave town tomorrow. Flying to Vegas and then Road Tripping to the LA area with a group of friends for the weekend.
With a bit of luck, I'll be in better shape by tomorrow and certainly I hope to be perkier by the time I get back to town.
In the meantime, amuse yourselves with this and have a good week!
Hope the drugs do the trick! I'm actually nervous at the moment: there's a possibility that I may have developed an allergy to chocolate. It's devastating, frankly, but I'm off the stuff for a couple of days to see if -- when the respiratory tract finally clears from recent unpleasantness -- going back on it produces symptoms.
Allergies run in my family, including chocolate ones. Not happy.
Glad you're having some fun, though! (We've been talking to realtors: yippee.)
