What's that?

So, I'm out walking over to get some lunch just now, and a fire truck rolls past, all lights whirling and sirens wailing.

Then I hear another siren, and see a tractor-trailer coming around the corner, lights flashing and horn honking. On the side, it says, "Confined Space / Collapse Rescue Team."

And then more sirens, as a couple of police cars flew down the road toward whatever it is.

The frustrating thing is that "local" news is so feeble in Denver that I'll probably never know what happened.

I don't know: sirens and rescues are to local news crews like honey to flies....

Turns out, it was a pretty big deal and the nightly news covered it.

An RTD bus ran a red light, smacked into an RV, and shoved the RV into a ditch, nose-first. They needed special gear to cut the folks out of the RV. (Surprisingly, there are no reports of injuries.)

Considering that a power substation caught fire yesterday afternoon and 15,000 people and businesses lost power in the middle of the day, I'm surprised this story made the news.
