Look, Ma! I'm bloggin'!

Owing to a complete absence of anything resembling a work ethic, I worked on my NaNoWriMo novel most of the day yesterday. Not all of the day, but a substantial portion of it. My word count is now at 6,101, meaning I'm only about ten days behind the schedule most people are keeping.

Let's put it this way. To have a reasonable chance of finishing 50k by 11/30, I'd need to be sitting right on top of 15,000 words today.

The good news is that the smut idea worked and that yesterday's significant jump in verbiage is directly related to My Hero's first encounter with a Gayboy. No actual smut ensued, but his world was rocked anyhow and the ground is laid for The Next Big Thing.

It's sort of a pity I signed up for this thing since it means that the OaT idea I've been dabbling with has to wait for a while, but even when goofing off for most of my work hours I can only do so much writing in a day. When you consider that I blog about 2k a day on politics and current events, it's a wonder that I have time to work at all.

Oh. Wait. I haven't been, have I? I'd better go do something about that now.
